A couple of weeks ago I was invited to join the Elle beauty school for a masterclass session with YSL to try out a natural glowy look with their products. I got to take a plus one so I grabbed my friend Alice (she’s in the photobooth pic with me, fun fact – we’ve been friends since nursery) and we made our way to Debenhams. We started with the Touche Éclat Blur Primer which I have to say is beautiful, it just glides onto the skin and is filled with little golden sparkles that create a lovely luminous look. I really need to mention how glorious the Y brush is, I don’t really bother to use a foundation brush anymore but this one has changed my mind, it’s a little out of my price range though so I am looking for a lovely and affordable buffing brush to pick up.
We followed along a tutorial created by the fabulous Sophie from the Elle beauty team and she gave us handy tips as we went along. There was of course an emphasis on highlighting with Touche Éclat and with a fabulous mixture of a champagne eyeshadow and the Instant Moisture Glow which created a beautiful shade.
I also fell in love with the brow pencil I used, it was such a nice consistency and the perfect shade. It made me realise that I much prefer an ash tone so I’m definitely going to be getting one. I was really pleased with the finished look (despite my foundation not being quite the right shade), and ended up buying the lipstick (Rouge Volupte in shade 1).
