You may have seen my room tour earlier in the year and I gave a little peek at my jewellery storage, part of which was a DIY. So I’m finally sharing with you how I made it!

This is a super easy DIY – all you need is a couple of branches, some twine and small nails (and a hammer). I got a few little branches from the park near my house (from the ground) and gave them a wash to get off any dirt, then dried them out for a day or so next to the radiator.

Next all you need to do is space out the nails along on of the branches, how far apart will depend on how thick your branch is, I left about an inch or so between mine. You want to be really careful when hammering the nails in as with thin and dried out branches it can very easy to split the wood. Once you’ve done that you just need to tie them together and add a hanging part from the top branch. Add your jewellery and accessories and you’re done!

I store the rest of jewellery on these plastic trays, I’ll let you in on a secret, it’s an old Ferrero Rocher box. What a great excuse to eat some chocolate! I love how this looks with layering them though and I can see all my necklaces, so handy! I then use empty tiny jam jars to keep bobby pins and the lids and tea light holders for a few earrings.
