I really like getting new glasses. When something is on your face basically all day every day it can be easy to get bored of looking at the same frames all the time. So when PerfectGlasses.co.uk contacted me to collaborate, I happily accepted. It’s always interesting to try out more budget friendly options to see if there’s much or any difference compared to more expensive and branded ones you can find on the high street.
As well as normal glasses, I also chose some prescription sunglasses, which, as you’ll know if you’re a glasses wearer, is amazing. I tend to wear contact lenses in the summer so that I can just wear normal sunglasses but there are definitely days that I don’t feel like putting lenses in. I have a pair of prescription sunglasses already but I don’t particularly like them, I feel like they’re too small for sunglasses so I only wear them when I’m driving.
However, my new ones I’m absolutely loving. Because my regular glasses are so large I do feel like they could be a bit bigger but that’s just my love of huge frames. I wore them all weekend and it’s so much easier, apart from when you go into shops and either have to faff with swapping your glasses, take them off and wander around half blind (the option I mostly opted for), or leave them on and look a bit odd/rude. Isn’t having bad eyesight just a joy?
The pair of normal glasses that I chose are a bit darker in colour than they looked online but they’re still super nice. I quite like how huge and nerdy they are. I was really impressed with the range of frames available on the website, including some designer glasses which are gorgeous. They’re really great prices and even upgrading the lenses to include anti-reflective coating and UV protection only costs an extra £3.99.
I was also really pleasantly surprised at how quickly the glasses arrived. The regular pair arrived in about 4 days and the sunglasses in about a week. They were packaged well and not squashed at all which has happened to a pair of previous glasses that I got online.
It can be a bit daunting ordering glasses without trying them on but I just make sure to look at the measurements and compare them to my current frames to get a good idea of the size. The online try-on system is also quite good for getting an idea of how they’ll look but, of course, it’s not 100% accurate.
Also, if you’re one of the lucky people that don’t have bad eyesight but you want some sunglasses or clear frames then you can order any of the pairs on the website with no prescription in them.
