I recently went to Budapest for a quick city break. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll already have seen some of my photos. You can read all about my two day Budapest itinerary here. I’d really recommend visiting! We haven’t done a city break before so I was a little bit apprehensive about what to pack. I kept it as minimal as possible as I only had hand luggage (and needed to fit in my cameras too). It was a lot warmer than we expected for early March. This meant that the cosy jumper I’d packed didn’t get worn and instead I borrowed one of Lee’s t-shirts.

I love an all black outfit. As you can see by the fact that all three of the outfits I wore in Budapest were all black. I didn’t even realise until I was putting this post together. Most of my clothes are old or second hand so I’ve linked alternatives where I can either second hand or from clothing brands that have sustainable and ethical practices in place.

I think I saw someone wear this skirt on Instagram and immediately wanted it. It was from New Look so I didn’t want to buy it new. Luckily after a month or so there were several for sale on Depop (and still are!) so I snapped it up second hand for a fraction of the retail price. It’s now one of my favourite skirts.

I’ve been a big fan of Patagonia for a while. Their menswear is a little better than the women’s, in my opinion. And the options in the US are a lot better than here in the UK. But I still like to have a browse whenever we come across a shop. As I mentioned, this t-shirt is Lee’s so it’s a men’s size medium. I’m a UK size 8-10 so it’s a nice oversized fit on me. It was a little hard to tuck into my jeans but I got there in the end!

I did have a third outfit that I don’t have any photos of. I wore leggings and the same black jumper as the first outfit for the days we were travelling to and from Budapest.

Do you have go-to outfits for a city break? I think comfortable shoes are super important!
