Resolutions are a funny thing, the majority of people make them at the start of every year but how many really stick to them? And why do we wait until the new year to make changes in our lives? But of course I am one of these people and thus here are my resolutions for this year. I have a theory that telling people/posting them somewhere will make me want to stick to them more.
1. Learn to knit
I’ve been wanting to acquire some knitting skills for a long time but never actually tried. My goal is to be able to knit myself a nice Christmas jumper at the end of the year.
|The first step – buying materials!|
2. Start my own clothing business
This has been my plan since I graduated last July but it has yet to come into fruition. I’m not going to go into details of why it’s taken so long but I’m determined to get it all sorted by the end of this month.
3. Read more
I make this resolution almost every year and rarely stick to it as much as I’d like to. I have to be a little careful with reading though as when I’m enjoying a book I simply do not put it down until it’s finished which could well interfere with some other resolutions. Perhaps I should aim for one book a month. (I’ve already read one this month when I went home for a few days).
4. Blog at least once a week
Again, something that I’ve wanted to do for many years but I never knew what to blog about. And then I realised that I can just post about my life and things that I do and hopefully that shall suffice.
