Getting ready in the mornings can be one of the hardest things. You’re tired, your eyes aren’t fully open, your room is dark and your brain hasn’t fully woken up yet. This is how outfit mishaps occur. I know I’m not the only one that’s left the house in what they thought was a cute ensemble only to discover that it’s inside out, back to front and the colours clash.
With this in mind, I’ve styled some outfits that I think are fail safe options for getting ready in a hurry whilst still looking on trend and put together.
When in doubt, go for all one colour
I’m sure you all know my die hard love for all black outfits and whilst that is always an amazing go-to I decided to switch things up and go for all white. You can never go wrong with a basic t-shirt dress and I’ve layered this one with an oversized shirt to give it some interest – tying it in the front to add shape and give a nod to the knot trend (this would also totally work with the shirt tied around your waist). Pop on a pair of sandals and you’re good to go!
Crop it like it’s hot
Wearing jeans and a jumper can look overly casual and not very flattering but opting for high waist skinny jeans and a cropped jumper really elevates the look. These disco jeans are super high waisted which I love and have plenty of stretch in them so they don’t cut you in half when you sit down! The slight bell sleeves on the jumper keep it on trend whilst still being practical and not too much of a statement.
What are your go to outfits for getting ready in a rush? As you can see, comfort is a key part for me, it’s always best to keep it simple in my opinion! You can find all these items and more in the PrettyLittleThing student style section!
