This is the last outfit post from the ones that we shot in Kew Gardens which is a shame, but spring is almost over and I’ve got some new outfits to share already. Do you remember in a previous post that I mentioned how hot it was on this day and that the palm house was sweltering? This heatwave is almost as hot as that. I love light layers like this in hot weather though, as I’m very pale I’m very cautious about being out in the sun (also due to getting sunstroke and sunburn from head to toe as a teenager) and although I always wear sun cream I prefer to just cover up and not have the sun directly on my skin if I can help it. Which I would advise to everyone.
I love swishing around in this kimono, it’s so floaty and light and has such a beautiful print. Unfortunately, it’s from a few years ago and isn’t available anymore. I think I’ve done a post wearing this every summer since I got it (yep, just checked – 2016, 2015, 2014). And now you get to see embarrassing old photos of me as well. That’s also made me realise how long I’ve had my tattoos unfinished for.
