I have a new love in my life. It’s a long and sweeping love. It’s for longline cardigans. I started thinking about this style back in the autumn when I got this cosy little thing. But since then I’ve had dreams of a flowing lightweight grey, and now I have it. I strolled into New Look last weekend because they had a sale and almost immediately found this cardigan, reduced and in my size. I’ve worn it every day since because it makes me feel like a princess with a fancy dress trailing behind me. It adds an instant touch of glamour to any outfit.

So about the embroidery trend. I’m all for it, as you’ll have noticed from these boots and this skirt. I love this top, it’s the same style as one I have and adore from Brandy Melville but has the beautiful embroidered roses on. I think this looks great tucked in to give the illusion that it’s a bodysuit. As much as I love certain things with embroidery, I do feel like it’s a little bit too all over everything at the moment. There’s such a thing as too much of a good thing, ya know? With that said, I have a somewhat similar outfit coming soon.

What do you think about the embroidery trend? Time to stop or embroider all the things?
