This is the first of a few outfits that Marie shot for me at Kew Gardens. It’s possibly also my favourite one. If you’ve read my Asos wishlist post then you might recognise this dress and remember I mentioned this photo as an inspiration pic and this is kind of my take on it. Unfortunately, I’ll never be as cool as Claire but I’ll just keep on trying.
I love this denim jacket. I didn’t own one until I bought one in a charity shop for a 90s themed fancy dress party in uni. After a while of never wearing it, I donated it back to the charity shop. Then I saw this one in Primark a year or so ago and it was on sale (still not quite as cheap as the charity shop one though) so I figured I’d try it out and return it if I didn’t wear it within a couple of weeks. I did wear it, in this lookbook in fact, and I’ve loved it since. I do find that denim jackets are only really appropriate for very particular weather conditions but I’m holding onto this jacket for those certain days.
This super simple midi dress is just what I wanted for the warmer weather. Easy to throw on but still looks pretty chic with the curved neckline.
