The pleated skirt has been having a pretty big moment over autumn and winter, particularly of the metallic midi variety. But alas, I’m not really one for metallics and midi skirts don’t particularly suit me and my 5ft self (I do quite like the knee length one I wore in this outfit post though). So I’ve opted for a black, floaty, mini version that I happened to have in my wardrobe.
This is an outfit that I’ve worn a few times lately, I just love how the skirt goes all flippy underneath the jumper. I got these Vans recently and I basically haven’t taken them off since, they’re so comfy and just seem to go with everything. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Vans authentic, they just reminded me of teenage tumblr kids and I felt like I would look way younger than I am (which I already do so hello people thinking I’m twelve years old) but after finding these black suede ones I’m totally over it and I’m not really bothered if I look a bit like a teenager.
Of course, as it is winter and I live in the UK (and I’m not one of those instagram girls that goes bare legged in January because they ‘don’t feel the cold’), tights are very much required with this outfit. These ones are the Classy Seventy from Item m6 and they feel divine. They’re so silky smooth it makes me feel so elegant. You can enter the giveaway below to win your own pair too!
