|Lip Liner in Chinese Whispers | Lipstick in Don’t Rest On Your Coral | Lipstick in Lip In The Bud|
I did a similar post to this for Spring lip colours so I thought I would do it a little differently this season and give all budget options. As you’ll have seen if you watched my instagram story. I was recently sent these from Sainsbury’s Boutique and Lip in the Bud has become a new favourite. I’m not normally one to go for pink in a lipstick but I adore the colour and it’s a lovely matte formula. Unfortunately, it is a bit drying by the end of the day, but nothing that some lip balm can’t sort out.
I’ve spoken before about my love of nude lip liners so it’s no surprise that I’ve been wearing this one a lot since it dropped through my letterbox. The colour is quite a pale nude on the lip so it suits my skin tone wonderfully. I managed to find this one online and it only costs £2, an absolute bargain. Even if you aren’t keen on the colour by itself, it makes a great base and I’ve been wearing it underneath Lip in the Bud which really helps it last longer and fade evenly.
The final colour Don’t Rest On Your Coral is such a classic summer colour, how could I not include it?! It’s the same formula as Lip in the Bud but seems a bit less matte. Semi-matte, I’d say. Personally, I find this colour too bright for my fair skin but for those of you with a tan at this time of the year (i.e. most people), it would be a great pop of colour. If you love the colour but are pale like me, I think it would work well with the makeup look that I did in my Summer Glow For Pale Skin tutorial.
I have a confession, until I was sent these items I had no idea that Sainsbury’s had their own makeup range. But I can tell you now, with the range of colours that they have (and the fact that they do not test on animals) I’m sure Sainsbury’s Boutique will be featuring in my Autumn lip colours too. Can we also just take a second to appreciate how photogenic these products are?!
