I wanted to make a gift guide with as much variety as possible without being overwhelming so I’ve put in a few items for different categories. Hopefully you’ll find this helpful and get some ideas! Let me know which of these you’d like the most and don’t forget to enter my Christmas giveaway at the end!
For the homeware lover
I’m a bit obsessed with homeware. I want to have nice things in my home instead of just the cheapest option like when I was a student. I think anyone that has just gone to uni, has plans of moving out or even just enjoys decorating their room would appreciate these gifts.
Fairy lights are needed all year round, but they’re especially useful at this time of year. You can never have too many cute lights in my opinion.
I know a couple of people that have been wanting Moscow mule mugs for a while, and even if your recipient isn’t into cocktails then the chances are they’re on board with the copper homeware trend and will just love the look of these.
I think Christmas decorations make great presents, the cost of them can really add up if it’s your first year buying them so why not get a few simple ones like this letter to Santa and cute stocking. Also, the little wooden tree in the background is super adorable and a great way to subtly bring in Christmas.
For the fashionista
Clothes are a great option for gifts because you can get something a little bit different that you know someone would love but probably wouldn’t buy themselves, like a great party dress or another scarf.
Another great option would be a scarf. I have so many scarves but they can totally change an outfit so it always seems necessary to have them in every colour. I’m loving my burgundy one this year.
Jewellery is another great option and can be especially useful if you don’t know someone’s clothing size! These beautiful rings are all from Etsy, Tumble and Rose make all different crystal rings that I’m utterly in love with as well as some other lovely jewellery. The other rings are from BexBea and are perfect for stacking with others.
For the gadget geek
A great place to find gifts for a gadget lover is HMV, there are loads of great choices including this VR headset to use with a smartphone. Side note, if you haven’t been on a VR rollercoaster (as in, a real rollercoaster but you’re wearing a VR headset) then you need to do that asap.
Another little gadget that I absolutely love is my clip on lens for my phone. It’s so fun to switch it up with different angles now and then! If you know someone that loves snapping photos on their phone and doesn’t already have one of these then I’m sure they’ll love it!
Novelty memory sticks are super handy too, especially for students. I had this penguin one as a stocking filler one year and he’s been my loyal friend ever since (he’s named Percy if you were wondering).
For those with a sweet tooth
Everyone loves chocolate, right? Well, I know not everyone does, but I think it’s fair to say that most people do. These MyDorable baubles are filled with their salted caramel pebble chocolates. They are honestly so so delicious, I could eat thousands of them. The beautiful packaging that you can hang on the tree afterwards makes a lovely gift. They’re also included in my giveaway below so make sure you enter!
For the beauty lover
I’ve been a Tangle Teezer fan for a good few years now so when I discovered they have an in shower brush I felt a serious need to try it out as I always use my fingers to try and disperse conditioner in my hair but it’s not quite as effective as a brush!
A little bit of a novelty gift but a toothpaste squeezer is definitely a useful stocking filler. They don’t have to just be for toothpaste either, you can use them on your favourite beauty product tubes too!
I’ve been wanting to try Pixi products for quite a while but as I have so many beauty products that I already forget to use, it seemed silly to get anything just yet. That was however until M&S had this amazing Gift of Glow set for less than half price. I can’t find this gift set anywhere anymore but there is another smaller version that would be great for trying out the brand and they also have some of their makeup in festive gift sets too like the Palette Rosette and the Silky Eye Pen Kit.
An essential for any makeup lover is gorgeous brushes, this set below from Lottie London really is the best of, they are so gorgeous in these metallic shades. With the variety of colours and vegan friendly hairs, I think anyone would be over the moon to receive this set.
Nail varnish is also a pretty safe bet as a gift, in my opinion, and this Ciate Paint Pot Duo has the most beautiful packaging, it even has a ribbon so you could hang it from the tree for someone to find which I think is just adorable. These are mini Paint Pots and are paired in complimentary colours of a solid shade and a glitter so that they can be worn alone or layered together. I think the nail polish remover pots would be the perfect accompaniment for luxe on the go nails. I have one of these from last year and they’re so handy!
